Boot fails after changing the device tree apq-8096-db820

I’m using DB 820 (Open-Q™ 820 µSOM) with linaro branch release/qcomlt-4.14 and I tried to add a new I2C port.

Am I doing something wrong when adding new I2C to BLSP QUP or is this a bug? I also tried this patch, but without success

I understand you want access to the i2c2 of the blsp2, I don’t have 820c register details, but at first glance your dts entry seems correct. It could be an issue with the memory area which is not available to use by the OS (Trust zone), but it would mean you have to request a new bootloader.

To check that, maybe add some debug in the I2C driver or use a userspace tool like devmem to try reading registers at 0x075b7000.

Sorry for the late reply. I tried using devmem to read 0x075b7000 and some other blsp addresses, but the system crashed everytime. Finally I tried blsp12 and it worked. Thanks for the help!
