I receiver a LinkSprite Mezzanine card from Arrow (http://linksprite.com/wiki/index.php5?title=Linker_Mezzanine_card_starter_kit_for_96board), and I decided to try the sliding Rheostat project. Following the steps I plugged the Rheostat to the mezzanine card with the included cable. I then mounted the mezzanine card onto the 410c using the included standoffs and screws (fits perfectly, great job). Next I flipped to the Program tab and noticed that this is a Linux program, no problem I’ll install Linux on the 410c. I flipped dipswitch 2 (SD Boot), and inserted the SDCard with the latest Debian image and applied power.
Now is when the trouble started: The 410c boots, displays the installer menu for about 5 seconds, then reboots. This loop continues forever. Removing the LinkSprite card allows the system to boot and I installed Debian. I couldn’t install Debian from SDCard while the LinkSprite card was attached.
After Debian is running, I powered down, re-attached the LinkSprite mezzanine board, and rebooted. The 410c comes up and runs fine. My question is, what signal is the mezzanine card toggling on the low-speed connector that prevents the installer from running?
