Hi!
I have the hhikey 970 version b that came with a version android pie, the onboard ethernet port work ok with it.
I flashed the lebian [1] image to the board and linux also worked with the ethernet port. But when I flashed back the android image from lemaker [2] the ethernet port is not working.
In android’s system → about phone → status now the ip address appears as not available. The port does seem to do something since it has both leds powered on.

I’m thinking that the image downloaded from lemaker is different from the one that came with the board. Does anyone no if other system images are available?
The linaro storage server [3] does have some images, but I’m not sure if those are for my board or the first hikey’s boards.

The Ethernet issue seems odd, I worked fine for me on aosp as well.
Did you re-flash the boot loader binaries as well when flashing the Android image?
Linaro doesn’t provide images for hikey970, only for hikey and hikey960.

No, I did not.

OK.

I don’t really know what happened, but this morning I powered the board on and ethernet start working again.
In previous cases I rebooted the board multiple times, but the ethernet was never available, so… not a clue about what happened here.

It you reproduce the issue, it would be good to attach the dmesg output.

Sure.
Do you have a guide on how to get the dmesg output?

From console (via debug uart) or in a ADB terminal, just type dmesg.
